When you first land in Seoul, the confusing parts are where the Airport Railroad meets Line 9 and which way to walk after getting off at Sinsa Station. The choice changes with how much luggage you have, and even within Sinsa Station the walk from the Line 3 platform to the exit differs from the Shinbundang Line platform. Below are the lines to take from each starting point, the stations to transfer at, and the final leg from the exit to the building, in order.

The short answer

Whether you start at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 or 2, Gimpo Airport, Seoul Station, Myeongdong, Hongik University or Gangnam Station, the endpoint is one place: Sinsa Station Exit 5. It is the station where Line 3 and the Shinbundang Line meet, and from the exit it is about 80m to K-TOWER at 621 Gangnam-daero, roughly 1 minute on foot. ATTITUDE Clinic is on the 9th floor of that building. The travel times below are estimates from Kakao Map directions and vary with transfer waits and traffic.

Coming from the airport by rail: where do I transfer?

From Incheon Airport, the first leg by rail is the Airport Railroad. The all-stop train runs between Seoul Station and Incheon Airport and also stops at Gimpo Airport, while the express train runs nonstop between Seoul Station and the airport and does not stop at Gimpo Airport (AREX express train guide). To transfer to Line 9, you need the all-stop train, which stops at Gimpo Airport (AREX all-stop train guide).

Woman with a suitcase standing on a platform as a train arrives

On Line 9, all-stop and express trains alternate 1:1 on the same tracks (Seoul Metro Line 9 train guide). The express stops only at set stations such as Gimpo Airport, Magongnaru, Gayang, Yeomchang, Dangsan, Yeouido, Noryangjin, Dongjak, Express Bus Terminal and Sinnonhyeon. The first train into the platform may not be the express, so check the destination and stop displays before boarding.

From Terminal 1, the rail route looks like this. Take the Airport Railroad all-stop train 7 stops to Gimpo Airport, about 37–41 minutes. From Gimpo Airport, take the Line 9 express 8 stops to Express Bus Terminal, about 28 minutes. From Express Bus Terminal, take Line 3 2 stops to Sinsa, about 4 minutes. Add about 4 minutes on foot from the Line 3 platform to Exit 5, and the total estimate is about 80–90 minutes (Kakao Map Incheon Airport Terminal 1–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

From Terminal 2, the Airport Railroad leg is 8 stops, about 44–47 minutes, a little longer. The Line 9 and Line 3 legs are the same, and the total estimate is about 85–100 minutes (Kakao Map Incheon Airport Terminal 2–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

From Express Bus Terminal, it is just 2 more stops on Line 3 to Sinsa Station. Picking the right Line 9 express train at Gimpo Airport is the fork in this route.

Lots of luggage: where do I catch bus 6009?

There is also a way to come from Incheon Airport with no transfers. Airport bus 6009 picks up at Terminal 1 on the 1st floor, stands 4A and 4B, and at Terminal 2 in the Transportation Center, basement 1, stands 14–16 (Seoul Airport Limousine route guide). From the airport, it stops at Incheon Airport Terminal 2, Terminal 1, then Sinsa-dong/The Riverside Hotel, Sinsa Station, Nonhyeon Station and Sinnonhyeon/Gangnam Station in that order (Incheon International Airport bus guide). The operator's timetable also lists Sinsa-dong and Sinsa Station stops one after the other (Seoul Airport Limousine timetable).

If you get off at Sinsa-dong/The Riverside Hotel, it is about 2 minutes on foot to Exit 5. Sinsa Station is the very next stop in the sequence, so remembering both names together keeps you from missing it. From Terminal 1, the first bus is at 05:40 and the last at 23:12; from Terminal 2, the first is at 05:20 and the last at 22:52. Seoul Station and Gimpo Airport are not on the stop list.

The bus is at the mercy of road conditions. From Terminal 1, the bus leg is about 70 minutes, and the Kakao Map estimate including the walk to the stop is about 70–90 minutes; from Terminal 2, the bus leg is about 93 minutes and the total about 90–105 minutes. When roads are congested, these estimates grow.

From Seoul Station, Myeongdong, Hongik University or Gangnam Station: how many transfers?

From Seoul Station there are two ways. Take Line 4 3 stops to Chungmuro (about 5 minutes), then Line 3 6 stops to Sinsa (about 12 minutes), for a total of about 25–35 minutes. Or take Line 1 3 stops to Jongno 3-ga (about 7 minutes), then Line 3 8 stops (about 15 minutes), for about 30–40 minutes. Either way, add about 4 minutes on foot from the Line 3 platform to Exit 5 (Kakao Map Seoul Station–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

From Myeongdong, 1 stop on Line 4 gets you to Chungmuro, so the transfer is simple. Line 4 1 stop (about 2 minutes), Line 3 6 stops (about 12 minutes), and about 4 minutes on foot, for a total of about 15–25 minutes (Kakao Map Myeongdong Station–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

From Hongik University, take Line 2 7 stops to Euljiro 3-ga (about 14 minutes), then Line 3 7 stops (about 13 minutes); the total is about 35–45 minutes (Kakao Map Hongik University Station–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

From Gangnam Station, take the Shinbundang Line and you do not have to think about direction at all. Sinsa Station is the northern terminus, so every train departs toward Gwanggyo or Jeongja (DX LINE Sinsa Station guide). It is 3 stops, about 5 minutes, plus about 3 minutes on foot from the Shinbundang Line platform to Exit 5, for a total of about 5–10 minutes (Kakao Map Gangnam Station–Sinsa Station Exit 5).

Out at Sinsa Station Exit 5, on to K-TOWER

Sinsa Station is where Line 3 and the Shinbundang Line meet (Seoul Metro Sinsa Station guide). Whether you come off Line 3 or the Shinbundang Line, your target is the same: Exit 5.

Coming up at Exit 5 puts you on Gangnam-daero, about 80m from K-TOWER (ATTITUDE Clinic directions). The address is 621 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul (12-25 Jamwon-dong). This is the side facing Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu across Gangnam-daero.

In short, by rail, transfer to the Line 9 express at Gimpo Airport; in the city, transfer to Line 3 at Chungmuro or Euljiro 3-ga to reach Sinsa Station. With lots of luggage, bus 6009 stops at Sinsa-dong/The Riverside Hotel with no transfers, and if you are staying in Gangnam, the Shinbundang Line brings you in one ride.

If this sounds like you

First flight, morning arrival, lots of luggage

With no transfers, you never have to pick up your luggage again. Bus 6009 has its first departure at 05:40 from Terminal 1 and 05:20 from Terminal 2, so an early arrival means waiting. In that window, compare it with taking the Airport Railroad all-stop train to Gimpo Airport and transferring to the Line 9 express.

After a procedure, swelling or bruising may remain, so allow more travel time than usual. The Airport Railroad has announced changes to all-stop and express train times (AREX notice). It is better to leave a buffer between your flight time and the procedure.

Staying near Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong

Garosu-gil is 454m from Sinsa Station Exit 8, a 5–7 minute walk (Visit Seoul Garosu-gil guide). Come out at Exit 8, cross Gangnam-daero and head toward Exit 5; you are simply changing exits at the same station.

Arriving late at night

The last bus 6009 leaves Terminal 1 at 23:12 and Terminal 2 at 22:52, so anything later means checking the rail timetable. Train times can be revised, so it is safer to confirm that day's times on the operator's guide before you leave. Gimpo Airport Station is a transfer hub for Line 5, the Airport Railroad, the Gimpo Goldline, the Seohae Line and Line 9 (Gimpo International Airport public transport guide).

“I take injection pain seriously.”

Co-Director Dr. Lee Dong Hun

Many people hesitate over injection treatments because they hurt. So we went back over everything, from the anesthetic to the products used.

  • Careful numbing, unhurried timingWe allow plenty of time for a special numbing cream to take full effect, and add anesthetic injections for the treatments and areas that need them.
  • Fine needles, finished quicklyInjection treatments use fine needles, and the doctor finishes them personally in a short time, adjusting along the way by watching how you are doing.
  • Even the product formulation countsThe same treatment can feel more or less demanding depending on the product, so we take that into account too.

The anesthetic method and whether it is used are decided after an examination, according to the treatment, the area and your condition. How much it hurts varies from person to person.

Hours are 10:30–19:30 every day, open year-round (ATTITUDE Clinic directions).

Aftercare and side effects

Plan your travel on the day of your procedure in this order.

  1. Woman sitting on a chair holding a hat beside a suitcase, man and woman standing behind
Same-day travel Right after a procedure your skin may be red or swollen, so allow generous time for any trip to the airport that day.
  2. Woman in a wide-brimmed hat sitting on a shaded bench looking out at the sea and a village
Swelling and bruising If swelling or bruising remains, limit sun exposure and friction while traveling, and build rest breaks into your schedule.
  3. Woman in a hat applying sunscreen to her cheek beside a travel bag
Sun protection Even while traveling, block the sun with sunscreen and a hat.
  4. Male doctor consulting a patient across a small table as a female patient checks in
Check your progress If pain does not settle and keeps getting worse over several days, do not wait—contact the clinic.

After laser and energy devices and injectable procedures, redness, swelling, tenderness when pressed and bruising are common and usually settle within a few days. Rarely, temporary pigment changes (skin becoming darker or lighter), blisters, lumps after injection, burns or scars can occur. Even with the same procedure, reactions differ with skin thickness and healing speed, so if changes continue that you did not expect, it is better to contact the clinic first rather than wait for your next appointment.

Frequently asked questions

Which exit should I take at Sinsa Station?

Exit 5. Whether you come off Line 3 or the Shinbundang Line, the target is the same. From the Line 3 platform it is about 4 minutes on foot, and from the Shinbundang Line platform about 3 minutes. From the exit to K-TOWER is about 80m, roughly 1 minute on foot. Once you are up, just follow Gangnam-daero toward K-TOWER; pin Exit 5 as your starting point in your map and the last leg will not confuse you. If you are staying toward Garosu-gil, come out at Exit 8, cross Gangnam-daero and head toward Exit 5.

From Incheon Airport, should I take the rail or the bus?

It comes down to luggage and how much transferring you want. The rail route requires two transfers, at Gimpo Airport and Express Bus Terminal, while bus 6009 stops at Sinsa-dong/The Riverside Hotel with no transfers. Bus times vary with traffic, and the last departures are 23:12 from Terminal 1 and 22:52 from Terminal 2. If you arrive late, check the rail timetable too.

Can I take any train on Line 9 and still get the express?

Because express and all-stop trains alternate, any train will not necessarily be the express. The express stops only at set stations, and from Gimpo Airport to Express Bus Terminal it is 8 stops, about 28 minutes, if you board using the express stop displays. The all-stop train makes more stops. Check the destination and stop displays of the train entering the platform first, and if it is not the express, wait for the next one. On Line 9, all-stop and express trains alternate 1:1 on the same tracks, and the express stops only at set stations such as Gimpo Airport, Magongnaru, Gayang, Yeomchang, Dangsan, Yeouido, Noryangjin, Dongjak, Express Bus Terminal and Sinnonhyeon.

From Seoul Station, is Line 4 or Line 1 better?

Both reach Sinsa Station. Line 4 3 stops to Chungmuro then Line 3 6 stops takes about 25–35 minutes in total; Line 1 3 stops to Jongno 3-ga then Line 3 8 stops takes about 30–40 minutes. The number of stops and the transfer station differ, so choose based on your luggage and the line you know best.

On a first visit, what should I check about the clinic?

Start with the address, the nearest exit and the hours. ATTITUDE Clinic is on the 9th floor of K-TOWER, 621 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, about 80m from Sinsa Station Exit 5, and sees patients 10:30–19:30 every day, open year-round. It is also worth checking how decisions are made in consultation and who performs the procedure. This clinic proceeds through precise diagnosis, skin analysis and 1:1 design, and the doctor you consulted performs the entire procedure from start to finish.
