Rejuran, Juvelook, SkinVive or Re2O: Which Skin Booster Is Right for You?

They are made from different materials and are used for different jobs. Rejuran (polynucleotide, PN) is commonly used for overall skin quality; Juvelook (PDLLA) and Sculptra (PLLA) are collagen stimulators whose changes build gradually; SkinVive is a hyaluronic-acid booster aimed at hydration and smoothness; Re2O is, according to its maker, based on extracellular matrix (ECM) from donated human skin tissue. Whether you need a booster at all, which one and in what order depends on your skin's main concern, and a doctor should decide that with you in person.

What counts as a “skin booster”?

In Korea, “skin booster” is an umbrella term for injectables placed in small amounts into the skin to work on its quality — texture, hydration, fine lines, firmness — rather than its shape. Fillers add volume to a specific spot; lifting devices such as Ultherapy or Thermage FLX use energy instead of injected material (see our lifting comparison).

For trip planning, the key difference is speed. With hydrating, hyaluronic-acid types, many people notice a change in how the skin feels fairly early. Collagen stimulators work slowly, over weeks to months, and are usually planned as a course.

How do Rejuran, Juvelook, SkinVive, Re2O and Sculptra compare?

General information, not a recommendation. Visible signs vary from person to person; the product, amount and spacing are decided by the doctor after an in-person consultation.

SculptraPoly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a collagen stimulator (Galderma)Gradual restoration of volume over larger areasSwelling at first; massage may be advised; volume builds over months, usually over several sessionsPer vial
Water Glow injectionA hydrating injection placed very superficially at many points; ask what it containsDryness, dullnessTiny bumps and pinpoint marks, usually for a day or twoPer session
Salmon DNA injection (PDRN)PDRN, a salmon DNA–derived ingredient; related to Rejuran's PN but a different productOverall skin conditionSmall bumps for a short timePer session

Some boosters come from biological sources: Rejuran and PDRN from salmon DNA, Re2O from donated human skin tissue. Tell the doctor about any allergies, including to fish, and say so at the consultation if ingredient sources matter to you for dietary, religious or ethical reasons.

Which concern points to which booster?

Start from the concern, not the product. A rough guide to what doctors commonly consider:

  • Dry, tight or dull skin — a hydrating option such as SkinVive or a Water Glow injection is often considered first.
  • Fine texture, thin or tired-looking skin — Rejuran (PN) is commonly considered; there are versions for the eye area and for scars (see our Rejuran guide).
  • Rough texture, enlarged-looking pores, shallow acne scars — Juvelook Skin, or, depending on the scar type, a device such as Potenza (see our Potenza guide).
  • Hollow or flat areas — Juvelook Volume or Sculptra build volume gradually; a hyaluronic-acid filler adds it immediately. These are different decisions.
  • Loss of firmness or sagging — Re2O is one option the doctor may discuss, but if sagging is the main issue, a lifting device may come first.

Most people have more than one concern. The useful question is rarely “which product?” but “which concern first, and what can wait?” Sometimes a booster is not the right first step at all — for example, when pigmentation or redness bothers you most.

How many sessions, and what are the side effects?

Hydrating and PN boosters are commonly given as a course of a few sessions spaced several weeks apart, then repeated for maintenance. With collagen stimulators such as Juvelook and Sculptra, any change builds over weeks to months; the number of sessions depends on the product, area and amount. Your doctor sets the plan.

With boosters, “downtime” is usually about visible signs rather than time off. Common side effects:

  • Small raised bumps at injection points — often settle within a day to a few days.
  • Redness and pinpoint marks — usually short-lived.
  • Bruising — possible with any injection; it can take a week or longer to fade.
  • Swelling and tenderness — more likely with volume products and on the lips or under the eyes.

Less common side effects include infection, allergic reactions, and lumps or nodules, which with collagen stimulators can appear weeks after treatment. Rarely, an injected product can block or damage a blood vessel; seek urgent medical care if you notice unusual or worsening pain, skin near an injection site turning pale, grey-blue or dark, or any change in your vision. Ask the doctor about the risks of the specific product, and mention any allergies, medicines (including blood thinners) or a pregnancy.

On a short trip, book the consultation early in your stay so there is time before your flight (see flying after treatment), and tell the doctor how often you can come back. A product designed as a course spaced weeks apart may not suit a once-a-year visit, and the doctor can plan around that.

Can you combine boosters?

Combinations are common — for example a PN booster with a hydrating one, or a booster with a skin toxin injection (diluted botulinum toxin injected superficially, often used for oiliness and the look of pores). But a combination is not automatically a better choice than a single product; that is a medical decision.

ATTITUDE's own combinations

ATTITUDE Clinic in Seoul lists two combinations of its own. During our opening event, until 31 Oct 2026, they are shown with the regular price and the event price, VAT excluded:

  • ATTITUDE Signature Rejuran — Rejuran + skin toxin injection + Water Glow injection. 4cc: regular price KRW 550,000, opening-event price KRW 390,000. 6cc: regular price KRW 990,000, opening-event price KRW 590,000.
  • ATTITUDE Signature Glow Up — SkinVive + “premium water-glow” (the package's name for this component) + PDRN + vitamins & minerals. 7cc: regular price KRW 962,500, opening-event price KRW 603,750. 8cc: regular price KRW 1,100,000, opening-event price KRW 690,000.

A combination is a starting point for the conversation, not a default: the doctor may suggest one of them, part of one, a single product — or none. See the Signature opening event and the skin booster opening event (both until 31 Oct 2026).

Questions to ask before you book

You can send these to any clinic:

  • Which product are you suggesting for my skin, and why that one?
  • How many cc or vials, and is the price per cc, per vial or per session? Does it include VAT and numbing?
  • Is this a single session or a course? How many weeks apart, and does it fit my travel dates?
  • What side effects are possible, what should I expect over the next few days, and when can I wear makeup?
  • What is the product made from, and can I see the product name before treatment?
  • Who will do the injection — and is there anything you think I don't need?
  • If I have a question after I fly home, how do I reach you?

How ATTITUDE approaches this

At ATTITUDE, an AI skin analysis first records and organizes your skin data. The analysis supports the consultation; it does not provide a medical diagnosis or assessment, and every decision rests with the doctor. One of our two co-directors goes through it with you and decides what you need, what you don't, and in what order — which may be one booster, a combination or something else entirely. Every product is priced per unit (cc, vial or session) on the price list, with the same prices on every language version of this site, shown without VAT; 10% VAT is added at payment. For anything not covered here, ask us when you send a booking request.

Frequently asked questions

Juvelook vs Rejuran: what is the difference?

Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN) booster commonly used for overall skin quality, such as fine texture and a tired look. Juvelook combines PDLLA, a collagen stimulator, with hyaluronic acid and is often considered for rough texture, pores and shallow scars; its changes build gradually. Some people have both, in an order the doctor decides after seeing the skin.

Rejuran or SkinVive for dry skin?

SkinVive is a hyaluronic-acid injectable designed for hydration and smoothness, while Rejuran is a PN booster aimed at overall skin quality. When dryness is the main concern, a hydrating booster is often considered first, but the choice depends on your skin and is made by the doctor in person.

Re2O vs Rejuran: how are they different?

Re2O is, according to its maker, a booster based on extracellular matrix (ECM) from donated human skin tissue, often discussed for firmness and texture. Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN) derived from salmon DNA. They are different materials with different uses; ask the doctor which, if either, suits your skin.

Sculptra vs Juvelook Volume: what is the difference?

Both are collagen stimulators that build volume gradually rather than immediately: Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and Juvelook Volume is PDLLA-based. Both are usually planned over more than one session, weeks apart, and both carry a risk of lumps or nodules. The doctor chooses based on the area, the amount needed and how often you can return.

Which skin booster should I get first?

Start with your main concern: hydrating boosters are often considered for dryness, PN boosters for overall skin quality, and collagen stimulators for texture or volume over time. If sagging, pigmentation or redness is the main issue, a booster may not be the right first step. A doctor should decide the order with you in person.

How long do skin booster results last?

It varies with the product, the person and the number of sessions. Skin boosters are generally not one-off treatments: many people have an initial course and then maintenance sessions at intervals their doctor suggests.
