Erbium fractional laser
Fine fractional resurfacing for scars and texture

Erbium fractional laser resurfaces the skin in many tiny zones. The untouched skin between them helps recovery, making it a treatment people consider for acne scars, pores and rough texture.

What it is
What is Erbium fractional laser?
Erbium laser is absorbed well by water in the skin, allowing precise removal of the epidermis and upper dermis. In fractional mode it treats dense points rather than the whole surface, which helps recovery.
Intensity and density are set according to scar depth and skin thickness, and because there is downtime, we plan the timing around your schedule.
How it works
How it works

As each tiny zone heals, new skin and collagen fill it in, helped by the untreated skin around it. Repeating this aims to gradually soften scar edges and refine texture.

The process
How a visit works
Consultation & AI skin analysis
An AI skin analysis records where your skin is today; one of our co-directors then examines you and decides whether to treat, how strongly and where.
Preparation
After cleansing, numbing cream is applied and left to work fully.
Treatment
Intensity and density are set to your scars and skin thickness. It can feel prickly and warm.
After your visit
After calming and repair care, you go home with instructions for home care.
Aftercare
Recovery & aftercare
- Redness, swelling and small scabs appear for a few days and usually clear in about a week.
- Do not pick the scabs; keep up moisturiser and sun protection.
- Pigmentation can occur — tell us if changes persist during recovery.
Sessions & spacing
Several sessions four to six weeks apart are usual, adjusting number and intensity to scar depth and healing speed.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How long is the recovery?
Redness and small scabs usually last about five to seven days. It depends on intensity and skin, so tell us your schedule in advance.
How is it different from Potenza?
Erbium fractional rebuilds from the surface through fine resurfacing, while Potenza delivers radiofrequency into the dermis through needles. The choice — or a combination — depends on the scar type and how much downtime you can allow.
Does it hurt?
With numbing cream it feels prickly and hot. Intensity is adjusted to your response.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on scar depth; several sessions are usual, reviewed as you progress.
