V-Laser
532 nm light that targets dilated vessels and redness

V-Laser uses 532 nm light, which is readily absorbed by the red pigment in blood, to treat dilated small vessels and flushing. It is a treatment to consider for facial redness and visible thread veins around the nose.

What it is
What is V-Laser?
V-Laser is a vascular laser from Wontech. Its 532 nm wavelength is absorbed by haemoglobin in the blood and delivers heat to dilated vessels.
Redness has many causes, so we first check whether it is flushing or dermatitis and how far the vessels have widened before setting intensity and the number of sessions.
How it works
How it works

When light is absorbed by haemoglobin it turns into heat that affects the walls of dilated vessels; as the body clears them gradually, the redness aims to fade. Cooling and intensity are adjusted together to protect the surrounding skin.

The process
How a visit works
Consultation & AI skin analysis
An AI skin analysis records where your skin is today; one of our co-directors then examines you and decides whether to treat, how strongly and where.
Preparation
After cleansing, the extent of redness and the vessels are checked, and numbing cream is applied if needed.
Treatment
With protective glasses on, the laser follows the red areas. It can feel prickly or like a rubber band snap.
After your visit
You go home after cooling and calming care.
Aftercare
Recovery & aftercare
- Redness and mild swelling usually settle within one to three days.
- Marks that look like bruising may occasionally last a few days.
- For a few days avoid saunas, alcohol and hot water on the face, and use sun protection.
Sessions & spacing
Usually several sessions three to four weeks apart, adjusted to the vessels and your response.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions does redness need?
It depends on the cause and degree of redness; several sessions three to four weeks apart are usual.
Will I bruise?
Depending on intensity, bruise-like marks may occasionally remain for a few days. Tell us about any events in advance.
How is it different from Laser Genesis?
V-Laser targets the vessels themselves, while Laser Genesis warms the skin broadly to refine texture and redness. Depending on the cause, they may be planned together.
Will the redness come back?
Flushing can return with temperature changes, alcohol and irritation, so we also advise on daily care.
