What it is
What is Thermage FLX?
Thermage FLX is a radiofrequency lifting device from Solta Medical. Radiofrequency from the tip warms the whole dermis evenly, while cooling and vibration protect the surface during treatment.
Pricing is by the number of shots, and the thin skin around the eyes is planned separately as Thermage Eye with its own tip. You can check the genuine tip and shot count together with us before treatment.

How it works
Heat generated as radiofrequency passes through the tissue contracts collagen in the dermis and supports the making of new collagen as it recovers. Unlike ultrasound lifting, which focuses on points, it warms a broad surface evenly, so the focus is on texture and overall firmness.

The process
How a visit works
Consultation & AI skin analysis
An AI skin analysis records where your skin is today; one of our co-directors then examines you and decides whether to treat, how strongly and where.
Preparation
After cleansing, numbing cream goes on and a grid is marked on the area so the heat goes in evenly.
Treatment
The tip is placed on the skin square by square. It feels hot for a moment, and the intensity is adjusted to your response.
After your visit
After a calming finish you can go home straight away; make-up is usually fine the same day.
Aftercare
Recovery & aftercare
- Redness and warmth usually settle within a few hours to a day.
- Blisters or temporary swelling are rare — tell us straight away if anything feels wrong.
- Keep up moisturiser and sun protection for a few days.
Sessions & spacing
Most people have one session, watch the change over several months and decide on the next after an examination about a year later. If you are combining it with Ultherapy, order and spacing are agreed in consultation.

Frequently asked questions
When will I see results from Thermage?
You may feel slightly tighter straight away, and collagen change appears over several months. We usually review progress between two and six months.
What is the difference between 600 and 900 shots?
Shot count depends on the area treated and the number of passes. We recommend a count after looking at your face size and the areas that concern you.
Can I check that the tip is genuine?
Yes. Before treatment we show you the tip packaging and shot count. Please ask anything during your consultation.
Can I combine it with Ultherapy?
Some plans pair them, with Ultherapy for the deeper layer and Thermage for the broad surface. Whether on the same day or spaced apart depends on your skin thickness and recovery schedule.
