Body Botox
Toxin injections for the contour of large muscles such as the trapezius and calves

Body Botox injects botulinum toxin into large muscles such as the trapezius, calves and upper arms to reduce their bulk and tension. Because the areas are large, the dose varies, and we plan by the size and use of each muscle.

What it is
What is Body Botox?
Body Botox is priced per 100 units, and the cost changes with the area and dose. Products include Newlux, Coretox, Xeomin, Allergan and Dysport.
The trapezius is treated when the shoulder line looks raised, the calves for a prominent muscle contour and the upper arms for muscle bulk. If fat rather than muscle is the concern, another approach may suit better, so we examine first.
How it works
How it works

The toxin reduces nerve signals to the muscle, weakening its contraction. A muscle used less tends to reduce in bulk over time, and after a few months the nerve signals recover and the effect fades gradually.

The process
How a visit works
Consultation & AI skin analysis
An AI skin analysis records where your skin is today; one of our co-directors then examines you and decides whether to treat, how strongly and where.
Preparation
The muscle is felt and flexed to check its size and extent, and the injection points are marked.
Treatment
The planned units are injected into the muscle across the area. It can feel prickly and achy.
After your visit
The injection sites are checked and you can go home straight away.
Aftercare
Recovery & aftercare
- Small bruises or achiness may remain for a few days.
- While it takes effect, the muscle may feel a little weaker.
- On the day, avoid intense exercise, saunas and heavy drinking.
Sessions & spacing
Changes usually appear over two to four weeks, and maintenance and dose are reviewed every three to six months.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How many units do I need?
It depends on the area and muscle size. Prices are shown per 100 units, and the dose is set after your examination.
When will I see results?
Muscle strength decreases over one to two weeks, and the change in bulk appears gradually over several weeks.
Can I exercise?
Avoid intense exercise on the day; afterwards you can carry on as normal. Tell us if your sport relies heavily on that muscle.
Will it reduce fat too?
Botox acts on muscle. If fat is the concern, we discuss options such as fat-dissolving injections.
